Best Decisions
03:41
|
|||
Made some of my best decisions drinking
Made some of my worst ones too
When I wasn't floating I was sinking
And waking up all dazed and confused
I was so close I could smell your lipstick
And the smell it got me, got me good
Now looking back I was a dipstick
I should have gotten out when I could
Now it makes me laugh when I think about it
Chorus
Don't they love it when you fuck up?
Don't they love it when you make a mistake?
Now don't they love it when you fuck up?
They're only happy when your heart's the one they break
When I wasn't laughing I was crying
And she wasn't stupid but mean
I thought I told the truth but I was lying
To everyone including me
Now it makes me laugh when I think about it
It makes me laugh when I think about it
Now it makes me cry when I think about it
Chorus

Falling in Love
03:47
|
|||
Everywhere I go people are falling in love
I said everywhere I look people are falling in love
I said when I'm driving in my car....
When I'm walking down the street.....
When I'm trying to eat a meal.....
When I'm going to the store....
When I'm trying to buy some shoes.....
When I'm trying to catch a bus.....
When I'm riding on my horse.....
When I'm trying to go to sleep....
When I'm trying to have a dance.....
When I paddle my canoe......
When I'm trying buy a drink.....
When I'm playing my guitar.....
Everywhere I look people are falling in love

I Don't Want To Stop
03:55
|
|||
Yeah I don't want to stop this thing that we've got going
Like a run away train it's got no way of slowing
Oh I don't want to stop this thing that we've got going
Oh you know it's like a wind, that never stops a blowing
And it's making me feel things I haven't felt for so long
So I don't want to stop
So I don't want to stop this thing that we've got going
Is it wrong or is it right? Well there's just no way of knowing
So I don't want to stop this thing that we've got going
And I can only see, what my heart is showing
And it's making me feel things I haven't felt in so long
So I don't want to stop
Now I don't want to stop.....
Oh I don't want to stop this thing that we've got going
Like a tree in a forest that don't want to stop growing
Oh I don't want to stop this thing that we've got going
You know it's like a river, it's like a river, it's like a river that never stops flowing
And it's making me feel things I haven't felt in so long
And I don't want to stop

Twelve Good Men
04:27
|
|||
Get me a posy, get a jury, I tell you what happened to me
Get me a posy, get me a jury, I tell you now you won't see through me
You need an explanation, I do not need salvation
I only came into town in need of twelve good men
Twelve good men
Now I got a posy, now I got a jury, I tell you now what happened to me
Now I got a posy, now I got a jury, I'll make so sure that you don't see through me
You need an explanation, I do not need salvation
I only came into town in need of twelve good men
Twelve good men

That Lovely Lady
02:38
|
|||
That lovely lady walking down the street
You wanna meet her yeah you do
That lovely lady walking down the street
You think she'll look so good with you
You wanna talk to her and see if there's a connection
Wanna cover her in all kinds of affection
You wanna take her home cause you're all alone
You wanna take her home
That lovely lady walking down the street
You wanna meet her yeah you do
That lovely lady walking down the street
You think she'll look so good with you
You wanna take her out to a restaurant
You want to woo her with you're conversation
You wanna take her home cause you're all alone
You wanna take her home
But she ain't gonna make feel better.....
So you better just forget her
That lovely lady walking down the street
You wanna meet her yeah you do
That lovely lady walking down the street
You think she'll look so good with you
You wanna introduce to your family
You wanna make her feel so special
You wanna take her home cause you're all alone
You wanna take her home

Forward Back
03:56
|
|||
You talk about choice, like you never had one
I only heard your voice, cause I felt I never had one
You talk about truth but you don't see it
You were living a lie and you believed it
Now I can look forward or I can look back
Now I can look forward or I can look back
You talk about love like you feel it
I needed your love but you concealed it
You talk about me and how I was all wrong
You talk about life like you lived one
I can look forward now I can look back
I can look forward or I can look back
I know you're hurting I hope it don't last long
Take a deep breath and find where you belong
You're blaming me well it might help you
But it was you and me if we're being true
Now I can look forward or I can look back
Now I can look forward or I can look back
Talk about me and how I was all wrong
But look at yourself, just take a look at yourself
Now I can look forward or I can look back
Now I can look forward or I can look back
I'm looking forward cause I can't see back

Colour
04:10
|
|||
If I had to be a colour, what colour would I be?
One that's non-descript I bet, lifeless and has-been
Left to flake and peel, discoloured by the sun
What colour would I be if I had to pick just one?
I'd be insipid and washed out, off white or cream or grey
A strange shade of blue, or worse still beige
Why couldn't I be bright? Like a rainbow across the sky
Why should black be my colour when they fly my colours high?
I wanna be yellow, orange, red, or a bolt out of the blue
Brighter than the sunshine, so huge and strong and true
I wanna be a colour that states clearly I have lived
A colour like no other a colour startling and big
But I'm an empty colour, a paint tin bare and dry
With the only moisture being, one tear drop in my eye
Why couldn't I be bright? Like a rainbow across the sky
Why should black be my colour when they fly my colours high?
I am colourless no peach, or rose, or plum
When you're looking for my colour, best look for something coloured numb
Colour has deserted me, I'm all pale and white
And the colour of my soul is the colour of the night
So let's not choose a colour and from this moment on
You can colour me the colour of somebody who has gone
Why couldn't I be bright? Like a rainbow across the sky
Why should black be my colour when they fly my colours high?

They Lied
04:01
|
|||
It's far too late to say, 'I'm sorry,'
It's far too soon for the tears to dry
Dreams and memories are never what they seem
We shake hands and say good-bye
Nothing will warm your tired bones
You weep tears of sorrow now you're all alone
Nothing will rob you with such evil and stealth
Leave you so tortured, no respect for yourself
And they lied when they said that tomorrow never comes
They lied when they said that tomorrow never comes
I'm cold and lonely now I turn off the light
Reliving every moment of my life
Saying sorry for the wrong I've done
At the time it seemed like fun
The face you own is one you don't want to wear
You never leave home cause you're going no where
For this we say forgive our sins
While the winners declare, 'Who dares wins,'
And they lied when they said that tomorrow never comes
They lied when they said that tomorrow never comes

Sorry
04:42
|
|||
I've been waiting for so long for your love to come back
I've been waiting so long for your love to come back
Cause I need it, don't you need it?
I've been waiting so long for sunshine's return
I've been waiting so long for sunshine's return
And now that it's here, well it's not good enough
And now that it's here, well it's not good enough
I can remember the day you were born
I stood alone held you tight in my arms
And the world changed, all was clear in my eyes
And I said I would keep you from harm
But now I'm the one who has caused you the pain
And I know that I tried to shift part the blame
And I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry

Mother Nature
02:46
|
|||
As the bushes wave and trees sway I sit here on this sunny day
As crickets play and the wind blows its own way I'm writing this for you today
And the breeze makes a tune for my ears to listen to, I hear Mother Nature sing, she goes ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
I hear Mother Nature sing
As the sun hits the web that a spider has made
I sit here and I think in delight
Oh Mother Nature you are the light of every creature in my sight
You're alright
And the breeze makes a tune for my ears to listen to and I hear Mother Nature sing, she goes ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
I hear Mother Nature sing
As a snake slithers in this lovely weather
all us creatures have this pleasure
Oh Mother Nature stay, Mother Nature stay, Stay like this forever, and ever and ever and ever and ever
And the breeze makes a tune for my ears to listen to and I hear Mother Nature sing, she goes ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
I hear Mother Nature sing

Running
04:09
|

Can we have a lottery where everybody wins?
Can I write a song for you that anyone can sing?
Where there's no competition based on your size
We're all born a winner we all do get a prize
Where people know your business and you never mind
Cause the only business you were in was smiling all the time
I know this kind of stuff has been touted once or twice
The reason that it don't get up is folks just ain't that nice,
You know they're not that nice, they're not that nice
I feel that I'm running in a big race and I have got to win I've got to get first place
Think of seeing a big game where two opposing teams
Sit cross legged on the ground and share bowls of ice-cream
Or a bank in a city where people answer phones
And they offer all the customers all no interest loans
A simple little planet where the profit was all shared
The only rule of law said you had to care
Where what was mine was yours and what was yours was mine
And no matter what the weather was
Every day was fine, every day was fine, everyday was fine
But I feel that I'm running in a big race and I have got to win I've got to get first place
Why can't everything be perfect in every kind of way?
Where no-one said a cross word or had bad things to say
where everyone was happy and lived in perfect health
And there wasn't any need for a world called wealth
Where the tears of joy were the only ones you'd cry
Where everyone had wings if you wanted to you'd fly
We're in a place you'd only heard about in some kind of dream
That sounded just like heaven with no hell or in between
But I feel that I'm running in a big race and I have got to win I've got to get first place

It Is What It Is
03:32
|
|||
Gently, softly she turns towards the wind
Gently, softly it's how we should begin
But by the father you get to make your mark
There's life and death here
But neither's light or dark
It is what it is, it is what it is, it is what it is
In the half the half glow fiction more than truth
A single phrase from a distant day is hardly any proof
It is what it is....
Now we're captured by a kind of fear
We search for something but there's no way out of hear
It is what it is......
